  3. Yes it`s that time again!  Time for the total bum head of the issue.
  4. But this issue it is not narrowed down to one person - but an entire
  5. -- err.. **race**.  Yes it is those horribly things, our arch
  6. rivals - THE PC SQUAD!

  8. ====RECENT REPORT FROM THE TEESSIDE EVENING GAZETTE===

  10. Recent reports have shown that the business world will be up in arms
  11. in the year 2000, when the computer world will mostly collapse.  ALL
  12. companies will be required to use a software/hardware patch to stop
  13. their computers from deleting their files.  The reason is that
  14. most PC compatible machines cannot go beyond the year 1999, when
  15. 0.00 on 1/1/00 arrives the computers will go back to 1900 and the
  16. computer will automatically delete the files which were made
  17. later than this date (all of them).  This will result in the computers
  18. completely wiping out the entire hard disk.  Programmers are busy
  19. creating software antidotes for a new release of MS-DOS (7) due
  20. next spring and it will mean that the users will be required to purchase
  21. this new version of the computer operating system to correct this
  22. and to keep their files.

  26. So we can honestly say that the Amiga has no trouble with this
  27. as I have checked, and my A3000 can go up to the year 3999 with out
  28. any trouble.  So while all of these idiots who bought PCs are rushing
  29. about spending 200 pounds on the new release of MS-Doze and rushing
  30. to get it all installed of all 6 million floppy disks to put it on their
  31. 4 Gigabyte hard disks and rushing to re-orginise all of their
  32. files, we can all sit back and look smug as our machines automatically
  33. switch to 2000 as it would any other year.  HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
